On June 5th the FAO High Level Conference on World Food Security is going to present its final declaration with recommendations on how to ease the current world food crisis. Small farmers, fisherfolks, indigenous peoples, pastoralists and Non-governmental Organisations have been holding their own Civil Society Forum “Terra Preta” on the Food Crisis, Climate Change, Agrofuels and Food Sovereignty.

At the press briefing, representatives of Terra Preta will give their critical assessment of the official High Level Conference and present their own views and demands on how to realize the right to food and food sovereignty in the world. The press conference will take place:
