Peasant youth in agroecology | Southern and Eastern African experiences

Across Southern and Eastern Africa (SEAf), youth who are organised under La Via Campesina SEAf member organisations return to their lands to practise peasant agroecology. Despite the hardships, they stay back to cultivate, take care of their elders and feed their families.

In this short video, hear personal testimonies of peasant youth from South Africa, Congo and Kenya. They speak about the role of food cooperatives in rural areas to enhance livelihood and stop migrating to cities in search of work.
