(Bagnolet, January 10, 2022) La Via Campesina – an international movement that brings together millions of peasants, small and medium farmers, landless, rural youth and women, indigenous people, migrants and agricultural workers from all over the world – shares the shock and sadness felt by the entire Palestinian peasantry at the decision of the Dutch government to end its relationship with our beloved organization in Occupied Palestine, the Union of Agricultural Work Committees or UAWC. We remain and will remain steadfast in solidarity with the Palestinian people for Food Sovereignty to flourish in a free and sovereign Palestine! We call upon all the great community of friends of UAWC to multiply their noble efforts to defeat the smear campaign against them and to increase the support given to their worthy efforts!
