Summary: This 2016 annual report describes the selected activities and the advances made during the year towards strengthening the international movement. It highlights the collective processes to develop ideas, proposals, and joint struggles and alternative projects to confront the offensive of global capital against the peoples and natural goods of the countryside, coasts and seas. We, the peasants, family farmers, indigenous peoples, landless, farm workers, herders, fisherfolk, forest dwellers, rural women and youth, as well as allied organizations from across the world, struggle for our territories, and for a different kind of society through a radical transformation towards a fair and decent food system for all, based on principles of food sovereignty.
