In September 2020, ECVC responded to the European Commission Roadmap consultation on EU Long Term Vision for Rural Areas. For ECVC, the current situation in rural areas of the European Union is particularly worrying due to the economic models that have been promoted and installed in these areas. Coherent policy must be put in place to protect the rights and livelihoods of small-scale peasant farmers.
