On 26 January, in response to a call issued by La Via Campesina, peasants around the world lit candles in solidarity with India’s farmers, who have been protesting relentlessly for the last three months, urging the national government to roll back three pro-corporate legislation.
This video offers a glimpse into our peasant-worker unity that define everything about us. It tells us that a people united will never be defeated. Solidarity is what we are. It is our greatest strength. Long live peasant unity! Viva La Via Via Campesina!
