Peasant Agroecology Schools: Amritabhoomi Learning Centre and farmer-to-farmer learning exchanges
The Amrita Bhoomi Learning Centre in Karnataka is one of dozens of education hubs around the world providing a space for farmer-to-farmer training in agroecology. The centre was born out of organising efforts of the local farmers’ movement KRRS (Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha) founded by Professor Mahantha Devaru Nanjundaswamy.
Special call for solidarity
La Via Campesina calls on the governments of the world, and in particular progressive governments and those of the South, to do everything in their power to end apartheid and Israel’s colonization. The Governments have a responsibility to coordinate their efforts to secure a future for Palestine and the entire Palestinian people, and to ensure that justice is done in the face of Israel’s crimes against humanity.
