India: Farmers Rally in Delhi

On the 18th of February the farmers movement Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) held at Jantar-Mantar under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Tikait. One delegation met the Pranab Mukharji (acting PM) in his office and gave him a memorendum realeted to the farmers problems. Mr Yudvir Singh – Delhi president, Ajmer Singh Lakhowal – punjab president and Rakesh Tikait – spokeperson – were the members of the delegation. More than 50 thousands farmers from sevral states participated in this rally.
